How Efficient is the Z-Star?

Is It Easy to Use?
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the crank is very easy on the arm muscles. It spins almost effortlessly, and the force necessary is minimal. In fact, you have to apply more force to feed the produce down the feed-chute than you need to operate this hand juicer.
Being a single auger manual juicer, the Z-Star Juicer is a breeze to operate, as long as you don’t overload it with harder vegetables. And if you take a couple of minutes to slice your favorite fruits and vegetables before juicing, you’re juicing experience is going to be a breeze.
Disassembling this juicer is really easy. I was able to do it in less than a minute. Having only a few parts it was easy to clean, too. Just make sure you clean the juicer right after you’re done juicing. This prevents the pulp dry, making it hard for you
Cleaning of the juicer parts was very simple and as with all juicers, if you clean straight after juicing it’s a lot easier than when you have let the pulp dry onto the screen.
Is It Durable?
The Z-Star, as I mentioned before, is built very sturdily. The aluminum body, tough plastic auger holder and cap, stainless steel mesh and a brush, and a removable handle which comes handy when you’ve finished juicing and want some room.
The dark green auger holder is transparent, enabling you to see the auger chew through your favorite veggies.

Any Problems with This Unit?
There have been a few complaints about the juice container. Its edge goes right underneath the pulp ejection hole, allowing the pulp to fall into the juice container occasionally. This can be easily avoided using something to lift the juice container a bit just enough for it to be out of reach of the pulp ejection hole. Another way is to use a different container for your juice.

I would definitely recommend this juicer. It is one of the best in the class of manual juicers. This juicer does a great job of juicing wheatgrass and the quality and quantity of wheatgrass juice is superior. The pulp is dry and there’s very little froth.
It can juice different kinds of fruits and vegetables, both hard and soft, if you’re willing to slice them up to make them go down easier.
It is easy to clean, and should last a long time if maintained properly.
